U.S. federal criminal complaint revealed that the FBI tracked Bitrefill gift cards purchased with the implicated Bitcoin address, combined with Google Cookies, phone logs and more than 500 Uber Eats orders, to pinpoint 21-year-old suspect Zyaire Wilkins. Wilkins is accused of funding and promoting a scheme that embedded malware into Steam games, infecting roughly 8,000 devices and stealing at least $220,000 from around 80 crypto wallets. Agents also seized three sets of crypto wallet seed phrases during a residential search. One Monero wallet recorded approximately 1,233 XMR in transactions worth around $382,000, though the filing did not link these funds definitively to victim losses. Wilkins has been charged with conspiracy to obtain information through computer fraud for financial gain.
