Jimmy Su, Chief Security Officer of Binance, stated that the company’s internal “Red Team”, an ethical hacking team tasked with simulating attacks and identifying security vulnerabilities, carries out monthly simulated phishing exercises targeting employees to evaluate the overall security awareness across the firm. Test scenarios include impersonating recruiters, sending free meeting invitations, and tricking staff into submitting personal information. Employees who fail the tests are required to take remedial security training, and results will be recorded in performance assessments. Those with repeated serious failures may face dismissal. Binance has run this program for approximately three to four years.
