Digital yuan hardware wallets issued by eight operators, namely China Construction Bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, Postal Savings Bank of China, Bank of Communications, China Merchants Bank and Industrial Bank, can be swiped for gate access at any Wuxi Metro station.

Wuxi Metro has long been promoting digital‑yuan‑based payments. Back at the end of December 2025, its transit‑code function was officially launched on the digital yuan App. Meanwhile, the 'Maxing' App added the quick‑payment function for digital yuan wallets. Citizens only need to open the digital yuan App and show the payment code to pass through the turnstiles. This made Wuxi the only city in the province supporting digital yuan soft‑wallet transit services from all eight authorized operators.
