Imran Khan, co-founder of Alliance, posted that the key metric for evaluating creator tokens is not how much of a creator’s existing revenue can be moved on-chain, but whether they can generate new users, deposits and customers, and whether the crypto industry can foster a new generation of blockchain-native celebrities.
He argued tokens should not be the core product themselves, but tools to raise capital, coordinate communities and develop real businesses or fan ecosystems built around creators, such as branded financial services, games and membership programs. Creator tokens ought to downplay meme characteristics and primarily function as infrastructure that turns online attention into new products, ventures and on-chain demand. Nevertheless, this model carries high execution risks; only consistent growth in new users, capital and on-chain trading volume can justify the necessity of such tokens.
