Founded by Bitmain co‑founder Jihan Wu, Bitdeer announced that its subsidiary Tydal Data Center AS has signed a 16‑year‑old data‑center hosting and service agreement with Volta Tydal AS. It will supply 121‑megawatt IT load capacity (around 133 MW total power) at the Tydal AI/HPC Campus in Norway. All capacity will be equipped with NVIDIA GPUs to serve a leading‑tier artificial‑intelligence laboratory.
The anticipated total payment over the base contract term hits 4.7 billion US dollars, alongside an eight‑year renewal option. The potential full contract value after renewal reaches 8 billion US dollars. Bitdeer estimates the remaining capital expenditure for the project to be approximately 500 million USD and plans to raise funds via new debt financing. Boosted by the positive news, Bitdeer once saw its share price surge by roughly 23%.
