According to Yonhap News Agency, the plenary session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea passed 11 livelihood-related bills on January 15, including amendments to the *Capital Markets Act* and the *Electronic Securities Act*, thus officially institutionalizing Security Token Offerings (STOs). The amendments allow eligible issuers to directly issue STOs (by introducing the issuer account manager system) and incorporate digital securities leveraging blockchain technology into the legal regulatory framework, aiming to ensure their security and practical applicability.
