According to Bloomberg, the stablecoin industry is positioning AI Agentic Payments as a new growth narrative. Circle and Stripe are building relevant infrastructure, including the Arc blockchain and the Tempo stablecoin chain. However, real-world adoption remains relatively limited. For instance, Coinbase’s newly launched x402 payment standard has recorded approximately $24 million in transaction volume over the past 30 days. Meanwhile, the global e-commerce market is projected to reach $6.88 trillion this year.
