According to a report by the *South China Morning Post*, HSBC Holdings has announced the launch of Hong Kong's first blockchain-based settlement service, adopting 'tokenized deposit' technology to enable more efficient and secure payments. The service is currently limited to Hong Kong, with plans to expand to Asian and European markets in the second half of this year. Ant International, a subsidiary of Alibaba Group, became the first client to complete instant fund transfers through this tokenized service.
